Hyunjin was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea. During his childhood, he briefly lived in Las Vegas, USA, where he was known by the English name Sam. He returned to South Korea and attended the School of Performing Arts Seoul, focusing on practical dance.
Career
Hyunjin was scouted by JYP Entertainment during his middle school years and became a trainee in 2015.
